The safety training is available on the home page of the User Administration System (UAS) and if you are a registered user you will be able to view your current saftey training status. Safety training consists of an online video and questionnare and will take approximately 15 minutes. It is valid for 12 months.
To access the training, you will need an UAS account, this is either the email address used when first registering for a proposal or a fed ID account if previously attended a session at the facility.
All users listed on the notification form will need to have valid facility safety training for the notification form to be submitted. The notification form has a final deadline of 5 working days prior to the scheduled beamtime start date.
It is important to note that there are no longer any training facilities at Diamond.
If you are the Principal Investigator (PI) or Alternate Contact (AC) on a proposal then you are responsible for submitting the notification form:
If you are a User intending to visit Diamond for beamtime:
If you are a frequent user i.e. you have your access card already
Please ensure that your safety training is always in date and then access will be given to Diamond automatically once you are attached to any session.
In cases where forms are not submitted:
The access cards will not be at the main gate if the notification form has not been submitted within the specified time period. This would mean that the user(s) would be retained at the main gate until the access cards are available. This will delay your access to Diamond.
